Seaton Summer School will be welcoming students from Weil Der Stadt in Germany

Seaton Summer School is returning for 2023 after a two-year absence during the coronavirus pandemic, with 43 students set to visit the town from Weil Der Stadt in Germany.

For more than 40 years, students from Weil Der Stadt have stayed in Seaton as part of improving their English education and strengthening the links between the two towns.

Organisers are now looking for families in the Seaton, Axmouth, Beer, Colyton and Colyford areas who who are interested in hosting one or more responsible and polite student(s) aged between 15 and 17 years old.

There is a payment of £200 per student and as a host family's responsibilities include providing breakfast, lunch and dinner, chatting with student(s) to help their understanding of English (no German required), spending time with the student(s) in the local area.

This year's visit is for one week, arriving on July 16 and departing on July 23. Students attend classes and have organised trips from Monday to Friday and support is offered in the form of three German teachers and a local English team.

If you have any queries or are interested in hosting, contact Andrew Davies on 07989 216 140 or email [email protected]
