During the summer of 2021, Seaton Town Council engaged Rapid Emergency Medical Services to deliver a first aid service every weekend during the school summer holidays.

Not only did this service receive very positive feedback, from both visitors and the local community, it also provided considerable savings to the NHS.

With funding assistance from Re:store, Seaton Town Council is delighted to confirm that this service will be offered again in 2022.

The First Aid point will be located outside the Tourist Information Centre and will be staffed by a paramedic and a first responder, every Saturday and Sunday from 11am to 5pm starting this weekend, July 9, and ending on Bank Holiday Monday, August 29.

Once again, the overall aim of the service is to administer treatment to people who may have a minor injury or illness and be there to administer basic life support until an ambulance arrives.

It is hoped that it will decrease emergency callouts for minor injuries whilst still providing treatment, thus enabling the emergency services to save money and resources.
