Emergency services called after paraglider crashes into sea at Beer Head

Beer coastguards Lyme Regis lifeboat crew responded to reports of a paraglider crashing in the sea off Beer Head, near Seaton, on Sunday. 

Coastguards called for the assistance of Lyme Regis lifeboat crew, which was launched at 4.40pm on Sunday and found the 66-year-old paraglider pilot already ashore when they arrived on scene.

He was unhurt after landing in shallow water at Pound's Pool.

The man was taken aboard the lifeboat and landed at Beer beach where he was met by local coastguards.
