Eight applications have been received to fill the five vacancies on Seaton Town Council.

Town clerk Julia Mutlow has confirmed that each of the eight applicants will be invited to attend an interview with existing councillors in early September.

Once the interviews are concluded, a meeting of the full council will be convened on a date to be arranged and councillors will vote on their five preferred candidates who will be co-opted.

When that meeting is convened, the agenda will be published in the usual way with the requisite three days notice.
