Local home care provider, Home Instead Exeter & East Devon, has been placed among the top 20 home care providers in the South West of England for 2023.

This is the eighth consecutive year that Home Instead has been rated among the top 20 by leading UK home care website, homecare.co.uk

Home Instead provides care, companionship and support to local residents in the comfort of their own homes across the community, including live-In care.

It is also one of just 12 domiciliary home care providers, out of more than 13,000 across England, to have achieved a rating of outstanding in all five areas of inspection by the sector regulator, the Care Quality Commission. They are the only one rated as such in the South West region.

This latest award recognises 20 of the top-rated home care providers in each region of the UK and is based on reviews from both residents, service users and family members, rating over eleven thousand providers.

The homecare.co.uk site receives more than 2.5 million visits per year, and lists in excess of 50,000 reviews, which makes this award of real value, according to Home Instead compliance manager, Lucy Scott.

Lucy commented: "We are always pleased to have our efforts acknowledged but when awards are given by those experiencing our care first hand, it means the world to ourselves and our team.

"The homecare.co.uk site is a trusted source of information for those seeking support, so it's great to be considered so highly.

"We pride ourselves on only ever providing care that's good enough for our own Mum or Dad, and on being different. This latest award assures us that our best efforts are very much worthwhile."

The company is also leading the way with regard to local recruitment by holding 5 Star Employer in Care status, and by being an Age-Friendly Employer, offering opportunities for employment, ongoing support and continued training and development for team members via their Personalised Career Pathways scheme.
