Home Instead Exeter & East Devon, a local award-winning home care provider, has extended their pledge to support present and future team members by becoming a Disability Confident employer.

The company provides care and companionship services to local residents, enabling them to live independently at home, and are the only home care provider in the South West to have achieved a CQC rating of outstanding in all areas of inspection by the regulating body.

This latest commitment will see the company support current employees and those applying for a role with Home Instead by providing options and adjustments to suit, where possible.

It is made in addition to their existing 5 Star Employer status, Age-friendly Employer pledge and Menopause Supporter initiative.

Recruitment manager Elliott Martin commented: "We are really pleased to have made this most recent commitment. We know it's not a one size fits all approach when it comes to applying for a new job. So, we offer the option of applying online, via telephone, through Zoom, by post or in person – whatever suits.

"We encourage applicants and team members to tell us what they need to succeed, and we will do our best to make it happen.

"We have some fantastic opportunities to join our local teams, supporting amazing residents in the heart of our communities.

"We offer a very different model of care and pride ourselves on being a different kind of care employer too. We want to limit any barriers in candidates applying for a rewarding role with us."

Home Instead Exeter & East Devon also offers employees the chance to take advantage of ongoing fully funded training and specialist qualifications which, they say, benefit the individual team member and ultimately, those receiving their care and companionship services.

Recruitment co-ordinator Tracy Kirk commented: "We know that our care professionals are the jewel in our crown and that by supporting them as best we can, we are able to consistently provide the outstanding level of home care that we are known for, whether that is hourly care, overnight support, 24 hour or increasingly popular, live-in care."

The company invites those looking for local, adaptable roles to contact them via 01395 200600, emailing the team at [email protected] by messaging via Facebook @hiexetereastdevon or by calling into their Clyst St Mary offices at Yeo Business Park.
