Devon Wildlife Trust has agreed to continue operating Seaton Jurassic through the summer.
In March it was announced that the trust had pulled out of operating the visitor attraction, owned by East Devon District Council (EDDC), and it would not be reopening when coronavirus restrictions were eased.
It said the unique and unprecedented challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic combined with the need to undertake substantial, costly renovations to the attraction's exhibitions, was at the heart of this decision.
However, EDDC has now confirmed that the Devon Wildlife Trust will continue operating the attraction until September 5 and it will then be taking over the site itself, with full plans set to be revealed later this summer.
Seaton Jurassic will be opening throughout the summer for timed bookings from 10am until last entry at 4pm, Friday to Sunday until July 11, and daily from Thursday, July 15 to September 5.
It will open Friday – Sunday from 11th June – 11th July; The café will also be open daily until September 5 from 10am to 4.30pm.
