Devon has been moved up to Tier 3 as the threat of coronavirus continues to rise across the country.

This means the county, along with neighbouring Dorset, Cornwall and Somerset, are on 'very high alert' and restrictions will see all pubs and restaurants close at end of service tonight – meaning they will not be open for New Year's Eve.

Restaurants and pubs can continue to offer takeaway services an retail businesses can remain open.

Accommodation such as hotels, B&Bs, campsites, holiday lets and guest houses must close.

Under Tier 3 restrictions, you should not meet anyone from outside your own household or support bubble inside.

You can meet up to six people from other households in outdoor publics spaces such as parks and beaches, but not in private gardens.

Full advice on Tier 3 restrictions is available on the gov.uk website
