Colyton will once again be hosting its annual Christmas Fayre tomorrow (Wednesday, December 1) including the switch-on of the town's Christmas lights.

The event will be held from 4pm to 8pm with festive fun planned across the town and businesses keeping their doors open late.

Father Christmas will be given the honours of switching on the town's Christmas lights at 5.45pm outside the Town Hall, and youngsters can then visit him in his grotto at Colyton Memorial Social Club from 6pm to 7pm, costing £3 per child including a gift, reindeer food and cookie.

The Town Hall will be packed with local craft and food stalls, with more refreshments available outside on Market Place, including Anton's Butchers, Damon Ralph, The Pancake Pod and The Vending Shed Milkshake Bar.

Seaton Majorettes, a brass band playing traditional Christmas carols and Munchkins Miniature Shetland Rescue will also be keeping the crowds entertained in the town centre. There will also be carol singing and free mince pies at St Andrew's Parish Church.
