Residents of Colyton are experiencing issues with their water supply.

South West Water have been working on the problem since yesterday afternoon, thought to be caused by a burst water main.

Some residents have been left with low water pressure or without any running water this morning, and Colyton Primary School was forced to close yesterday (Tuesday).

The school is now reopening and will be welcoming children back on site from 11.30am Wednesday morning.

One resident has reported that South West Water will provide drinking water from a collection point if the issue continues for more than three hours this morning.

Residents have also questioned whether hand washing water will be supplied in light of the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.

It was reported yesterday evening that water supplies had been restored but issues have continued this morning. South West Water said they are continuing to work in the area and will provide further updates as this progresses.
