Colyton fire crew assisted with an incident in which a person on a ride-on mower fell down a 15 foot bank.

The incident took place in Vineycroft Lane in Salcombe Regis, near Sidmouth, on Wednesday afternoon with Colyton attending alongside crews from Sidmouth and Ottery St Mary.

Crews used safety at height equipment including lines and ropes to assist the casualty up the bank on a stretcher, and left them in the care of the ambulance service.

The ride-on lawn mower was then retrieved to prevent any damage to the surrounding environment using two winches.
