Residents of Colyford at the annual 'Beating of the Bounds'

An impressive turnout of 60 Colyford residents set off in typical autumnal weather for the annual 'Beating of the Bounds' on Saturday.

After a three year COVID-enforced lay off, locals were pleased to take part in this traditional annual event, which sees them walk around the village boundaries.

After the walk, tired and weary, they all sat down to a well earned tea at Colyford Memorial Hall, with many of the more senior village residents joining them.

They were then give a potted history of Colyford by the acting clerk of the Ancient Borough of Colyford.
