From Elvis to Bill Nighy – Beer Film Society has unveiled its exciting programme of films for the New Year.

"We have had great support from the film-going community in 2022 and enjoyed some wonderful evenings at the Mariners' Hill in Beer," said chairman Kevin Fahey.

"We have booked our first four films for the New Year and we hope there is something there for everyone whether it is the biopic of Elvis, the amazing documentary about the truffle hunters in Italy or Britain's own wonderful actor Bill Nighy, who must surely be in line for some major awards for his terrific new film 'Living'.

"And just for contrast we have also squeezed in a classic film as well with 'To Kill A Mocking Bird' starring Gregory Peck."

Further details about booking tickets will be released in due course.

January 19 - Elvis (2022)

Director Baz Lurhmann, starring Tom Hanks, Austin Butler and Olivia DeJonge.

A rare, intriguing glimpse into an ancient way of life.

March 23 - To Kill A Mocking Bird (1962)

Director Robert Mulligan, starring Gregory Peck, John Megna and Frank Overton.

Director Oliver Hermanus, starring Bill Nighy, Aimee Lou Wood and Alex Sharp.

Set in 1950s London, the story of an ordinary man, reduced by years of oppressive office routine to a shadow existence, who at the eleventh hour makes a supreme effort to turn his dull life into something wonderful.
