Axe Valley Academy student Innes Fitzgerald has been taking Seaton parkrun by storm in recent weeks.

The young runner came first in Saturday's 5km run, smashing her own record by completing the course in 17 minutes and 31 seconds, and leaving the nearest male runner almost a minute behind in second place.

Seaton parkrun, part of the national parkrun initiative, stages free, fun and friendly 5km community events every weekend.

Participants can walk, jog, run the course. For more details visit www.parkrun.org.uk/seaton
