Insurance company Aviva has stepped in to support Beer Men's Shed in its work to help save hedgehogs in East Devon.

Beer Men's Shed runs a workshop in the seaside village, providing a place where men can get together to make new friends and do useful things for their local community.

Members have made more than 100 hedgehog boxes since they first opened our doors in 2019, each one providing a new, safe home for a rescued hedgehog that's about to be returned to the wild.

Local hedgehog rescue centre, The Hedgehog Hut in Colyford, needs the help of Beer Men's Shed to provide the boxes, and everyone in the local area can help to rescue the animals by donating towards the cost of the boxes.

And for every £1 that is donated to this campaign, the Aviva Community Fund will match it with another £1 – the more that local people donate, the more the Aviva Community Fund will give.

By being able to make the hedgehog boxes, the members of Beer Men's Shed get a sense of pride in helping the community and the environment that we all live in.

You can donate to our campaign by going to the Aviva Community Fund web site here: https://www.avivacommunityfund.co.uk/rescuing-hedgehogs-in-east-devon
