Seaton Carnival Committee is teaming up with the town council to host a real festival celebration this Christmas.

The two organisations will be jointly organising the switch-on of the town's Christmas lights on Saturday, November 27 along with a festive fancy dress parade at 6pm.

It is hoped the parade will make up for the lack of carnival procession this year, which had to be called off for the second year running due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Festivities will include music in the Fore Street square, performances by Seaton Majorettes and a samba band, with more announcements to be made in the coming weeks.
