Bargain hunters descended on the green outside St Andrew's Parish Church in Colyton on Saturday for a market sale.

The event was organised by The Lantern Charity Shop in Colyton, which raises funds for the church.

Stalls full of clothing, books, homeware and bric-a-brac were set up in the sunshine, alongside a raffle and tombola.

Later in the day, Colyton Carnival Committee hosted a picnic on the green as part of a scaled-back carnival week programme, which like other East Devon towns this year did not include a procession.

However, residents were still able to get together and enjoy picnic and drinks, with the committee also serving Pimm's.
