Seaton Town Council has confirmed that the installation of new outdoor equipment on a new site at Seafield Gardens has started this week.

On its website, the council has thanked all those who responded regarding the location of the replacement gym equipment.

The overwheming majority of those who responded were pleased that the equipment was being replaced, albeit in a new location.

The council would like to thank the officers of East Devon District Council for the help and expertise provided in assisting with the tender process, arranging and overseeing the installation and, going forward, maintaining the equipment.

A council spokesman said: "This is a great example of partnership working to achieve a positive result for Seaton in these challenging times."
