There will be no official gathering to see Seaton's Christmas lights switched on this year, but residents and businesses are still being asked to help make the town sparkle.

Shops, businesses and residents are being asked to all switch on their Christmas lights at 6pm on Friday, December 4 to bring some festive cheer to Seaton.

Those who have already switched on their decorations can still join in by switching them off and back on at the set time.

Promote Seaton, in partnership with Tesco and Seaton Town Council, are offering prizes for the best six local business displays and the six best home and garden displays.

Send your photos and video clips to [email protected] by Wednesday, December 9 to be in with a chance of winning! Alternatively you can drop a printed copy into the letterbox at the Marshlands Centre. Judging will take place on December 14.

For those unable to get out and about, Seaton Nub News will be going live on Facebook at 6pm on Friday, December 4 so you can watch video footage of the displays from the comfort of your own home.
